WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Aether mini-biome in the Underground or Cavern on the Jungle half of the world.
Locate the Aether mini-biome on the Jungle side in the Underground or Cavern, then use its Shimmer pool as an item-processing station. Decide what transformation you want before dropping anything valuable. Life Crystals and fruit have recorded transformations, and many crafted items can be decrafted. Retrieve the result and store it for its new use. Process one sample at a time until you know the outcome you want. The natural pool is sufficient; a Bottomless Shimmer Bucket is a post-Moon Lord item and is not required for this route.
Access to Underground or Cavern exploration on the Jungle side.
Items to transform, such as Life Crystals or fruit.
Inventory room to collect results.
Explore the Underground or Cavern on the Jungle side and locate the Aether and Shimmer pool.
Secure an approach so items can be retrieved without becoming trapped by terrain.
Choose an item with a known, desired transformation before processing it.
Drop one item into the Shimmer and observe the result.
Collect the transformed item and verify its name in inventory.
Use the Life Crystal transformation for a Vital Crystal or fruit transformation for Ambrosia where applicable.
Test crafted-item decrafting individually before processing more items.
Farming tips
Try one item at a time until the outcome is familiar; avoid risking an entire stack.
Keep the pool area clear and do not drop equipment you still need.
Repeat, collect and use
The pool can be reused, but transformations change or consume inputs. The Bottomless Shimmer Bucket is a later, post-Moon Lord source, not required for this route.
Common mistakes
Assuming every item has a useful conversion; process items with a known purpose.
Dropping a full stack before checking the outcome; test one item first.
Confusing bucket access with the natural pool route; locate the Aether unless you have the later bucket.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have the converted items you need or when an input’s outcome is uncertain; confirm before proceeding.
