WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Underground or Cavern stone with open space for Gem Trees to grow.

Plant Gemcorns on underground stone, give Gem Trees room to mature, then harvest their wood and gems. Each planting uses an acorn and a gem, so reserve inputs for replanting after collection. Establish the orchard in an open Underground or Cavern area and return to check for mature trees. Suitable placement and spacing matter, and a particular gem is not guaranteed from each planting. Store output for a planned goal and keep enough planting inputs to continue.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Acorns and gems to make Gemcorns.
  • An Underground or Cavern stone planting area.
  • Room between planting spots for tree growth.
  1. Choose underground stone with open space around the intended orchard.
  2. Collect acorns and gems for the Gemcorns you plan to plant.
  3. Plant Gemcorns on stone underground, spacing the planting spots.
  4. Allow trees to mature rather than clearing them while small.
  5. Check the orchard periodically for mature Gem Trees.
  6. Chop mature trees to collect wood and gems.
  7. Replant with saved acorns and gems, keeping the area open.

Farming tips

  • Use a straight stone shelf so empty spots and mature trees are easy to see.
  • Keep a reserve of gems and acorns for replanting rather than spending the full harvest.

Repeat, collect and use

Harvest mature Gem Trees and replant Gemcorns. Each planting consumes an acorn and a gem, and underground placement and spacing are required.

Common mistakes

  • Planting on surface stone; establish the orchard underground or in the Cavern.
  • Crowding trees; leave room for them to mature.
  • Spending every gem before replanting; reserve inputs to maintain the orchard.

When to stop or switch

Stop when gem and wood stock meets the crafting need. Leave the orchard planted if you expect to need more.
