Where to farm

A Chlorophyte Extractinator in a Hardmode base or processing area.

Once the mechanical bosses are defeated and you have a Chlorophyte Extractinator, process accumulated Silt, Slush or Desert Fossil into results that include Hardmode ores. Feed material directly for a small batch, or wire the station to draw input from nearby chests for larger batches. Output is variable, so this processes a stockpile rather than guaranteeing one chosen ore. Sort the results and smelt useful ore for your next craft. Keep eligible material if you plan another batch.

How to farm

Before you go

Defeat the mechanical bosses.
A Chlorophyte Extractinator.
Silt, Slush or Desert Fossil to process.
Nearby chests and wiring for optional chest input.

Confirm the mechanical bosses are defeated and place the Extractinator in a safe area.
Gather Silt, Slush and Desert Fossil saved from excavation.
Feed a small amount directly to the station to begin processing.
For larger batches, wire the Extractinator to nearby chests for chest input.
Activate the station and collect the resulting items from its output.
Sort Hardmode ores and compare them with the ore tier you need.
Smelt useful ore into bars and store any surplus.

Farming tips

Use chest input for a stockpile to reduce repeated inventory handling.
Clear space for output before processing so results are easy to collect and sort.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat whenever you acquire more eligible input. Ore outcomes vary; this is not a guaranteed source of a named deposit.

Common mistakes

Using this route before defeating the mechanical bosses; wait for the progression requirement.
Expecting a particular ore tier; treat results as variable and mine for a specific target if needed.
Starting with a full inventory or storage; clear space before processing.
