Search and Destroy turns cleared district activities into Target Intel, which you can spend on High Value Target contracts.
PC / Global, Definitive Edition (base game plus Underground, Survival and Last Stand expansions)
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Search and Destroy boards in named-zone safe houses after that zone’s side missions and encounters are complete.
This is the repeatable setup route for HVT farming. Clear the relevant district prerequisites, follow the board’s linked activities, then collect the Intel and choose a contract whose cost and reward make sense for you.
Complete the side missions and encounters in the district you intend to work.
Have access to the named-zone safe house and its Search and Destroy board.
Open the district safe-house board and select an available Search and Destroy mission.
Read the linked activity objectives and note the waypoints shown on the map.
Travel to the first marked activity and eliminate the specified enemy group or complete its objective.
Continue through each linked waypoint until the chain is finished.
Return to the board or safe house and claim the Search and Destroy completion reward.
Check your Target Intel total before visiting the HVT vendor.
Spend Intel only after comparing the contract cost, difficulty, and listed reward.
Farming tips
Choose a district where you have already cleared its side missions and encounters; the board depends on that progress.
Keep enough Intel in reserve for a contract you actually want rather than spending it automatically.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the board chain in other eligible districts as desired; each completed chain provides Target Intel. The amount and available board entries should be checked in game.
Common mistakes
Looking for a board before clearing district activities; finish the side missions and encounters first.
Stopping after the linked fights without claiming the board reward; return to the safe house interface.
Spending Intel without checking HVT cost; inspect the vendor before selecting a contract.
When to stop or switch
Stop collecting Intel once you can afford the HVT contract you plan to run, or when the remaining districts require more travel than the contract is worth.
