Assignments and endgame progression

Complete Daily and Weekly Assignments

Assignments provide a repeatable endgame checklist, with caches and Division Tech among the recorded legacy rewards.

PC / Global, Definitive Edition (base game plus Underground, Survival and Last Stand expansions)
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Assignment board or Mission Overview at the Base of Operations; some safe-house menus also expose assignment objectives.

Use assignments when you want a short, directed route to endgame rewards. The daily and weekly list tells you which activity to complete; the reward details can vary, so inspect each entry before committing.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Reach the level and unlock the missions or activities named by an assignment.
  • Have access to the Base of Operations or a safe house with the assignment list.
  1. Open Mission Overview or the assignment board and review the available daily and weekly entries.
  2. Read each objective, difficulty, and reward shown in game; choose one that matches your current build and available time.
  3. Travel to the named mission or activity and complete the listed objective.
  4. If the assignment specifies a difficulty or condition, verify it is satisfied before leaving the activity.
  5. Return to the assignment interface and claim the completed entry’s reward.
  6. Open the resulting cache from inventory and compare its contents with your current equipment.
  7. Keep useful upgrades, dismantle unwanted gear, and direct any Division Tech toward an upgrade you have planned.

Farming tips

  • Group assignments by location or mission when the objectives allow it to reduce travel.
  • The assignment schedule and reward amounts are from the legacy system; trust the active in-game list for what is currently available.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat for each daily or weekly assignment shown in the current list. The legacy system is recorded as four daily and two weekly tasks, but the in-game board is the practical check for availability.

Common mistakes

  • Starting a mission without checking its required difficulty; confirm the assignment conditions first.
  • Leaving without claiming the assignment; return to the board and collect the completion reward.
  • Treating every cache as a guaranteed upgrade; inspect it and keep only gear that serves your build.

When to stop or switch

Finish the assignments whose rewards support your immediate gear or material needs, then switch to Search and Destroy or a targeted endgame activity.
