WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Cave 2, Hanging Cave, in the hidden stash room beyond the early Map and Compass area.
This is a one-time equipment pickup in Cave 2. Secure the Map and Compass separately in the cave’s early section, then continue to the hidden stash room for the axe. Once collected, it becomes a practical tool for surface material runs and cave preparation.
Before you go Rope and a light source for navigating Cave 2. Healing items and a usable weapon for cave encounters. Locate the surface entrance to Cave 2 and descend into the cave. Search the early hanging-body and supply area for the Map and Compass if you have not collected them. Continue along the cave route toward the hidden stash room rather than treating the early supply area as the axe location. Search the body and storage area in the stash room and pick up the Modern Axe. Check the room for useful nearby supplies, then retrace your route to the entrance. Equip the axe on the surface and use it for subsequent tree and resource runs. Farming tips Mark or remember the distinction between the early navigation loot and the separate axe stash room. Carry enough healing to leave the cave safely; the weapon is most useful after you return to the surface. Repeat, collect and use One-time pickup. The axe remains in your inventory; repeat cave trips are for other supplies, not another axe.
Common mistakes Leaving after finding the Map and Compass: continue to the separate stash room for the axe. Entering without light or healing: prepare before descending so you can retreat after collecting it. Assuming the pickup is a renewable material source: plan future trips around other cave loot. When to stop or switch Stop searching once the Modern Axe is in your inventory and you have a clear route back to the surface.
