WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The Delving of Frór: Rottenroot for Sauron’s visage and Gwaelug for Gil-gâlad’s visage.
Two relic sites in the Delving of Frór provide PvMP buffs when claimed: Sauron’s visage at Rottenroot and Gil-gâlad’s visage at Gwaelug. A relic improves movement speed, damage, Commendation earnings, and Glory or Infamy gains; holding both at once doubles the potency of those benefits. This is a contested objective, so success depends on reaching the site and protecting control against the opposing side. Treat it as a group objective with a clear bearer and support rather than a guaranteed solo currency farm.
Coordinate with allies to capture and defend relic sites.
Know which relic your group is pursuing and how it will be protected.
Be ready for the opposing side to contest the objective.
Agree with your group whether to pursue Rottenroot, Gwaelug, or both relics.
Travel into Ettendeep and approach the chosen visage site together.
Claim the relic when the site is reachable and secure the bearer’s route.
Protect the bearer from enemy players while keeping allies close enough to contest interference.
If your group has sufficient control, move to the second relic site and claim its relic as well.
Maintain control of both relics when possible to receive the stronger documented buff.
Use the resulting PvMP advantage while it lasts, then return to capture attempts if the relics are lost.
Farming tips
Keep the group together; a relic bearer is a visible objective and needs protection.
The benefit is stronger with both relics controlled at once, but securing one is still useful if the second site is contested.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat captures whenever relics are available and your side can contest them. Control is PvMP contested and is not a guaranteed permanent hold.
Common mistakes
Treating the sites as uncontested gathering points: expect enemy players and bring support.
Splitting the group too early to chase both relics: secure the first bearer before committing to the second site.
Assuming one relic gives the double effect: the potency doubles only while both are controlled simultaneously.
When to stop or switch
Stop when your group cannot safely maintain control or the relic objective no longer serves the session. Switch to daily Delving quests or regroup for another attempt.
