Where to farm
Grand Rift Cave on Prime, at HUD coordinates 2026:3:-33.
Grand Rift Cave is a supported Prime location for an Iridium Ore Extractor. Unlike collecting loose Iridium by hand, this route uses a powered extractor at the deposit. T1 can mine Iridium there, though it also produces the five basic ores, so plan to collect or dispose of those materials as well. This is a location-specific alternative for players whose base or route makes Grand Rift more useful than the other documented Iridium extraction site.

Power for the extractor.
Oxygen and inventory space for travel and collecting output.
Optional Foundation Grid and Shredder for unwanted ore.
Use the HUD’s X:Y:Z coordinates to travel to Grand Rift Cave at 2026:3:-33.
Place a T1 Ore Extractor within the Iridium deposit area.
Check the extractor’s displayed output; reposition within the area if Iridium is absent.
Provide power and let the extractor produce its mixed output.
Return to the machine and collect Iridium along with any useful basic ores.
Clear unwanted ores by collecting them or disposing of them with a Foundation Grid and Shredder.
Use Iridium toward Iridium Rods for heaters or additional Ore Extractors.
Farming tips
T1 extraction includes Iron, Titanium, Cobalt, Silicon, and Magnesium alongside Iridium, so leave room for the mixed output.
Spike Canyon’s loose Iridium is a hand-collection opportunity, but it is not an Iridium extraction site.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a repeatable powered extraction loop. Visit, collect Iridium and useful secondary ores, then clear unwanted output so the extractor has room to continue.
Common mistakes
Placing the extractor outside the Iridium zone: check the displayed output and move it within the deposit area.
Expecting T1 to produce only Iridium: plan for the five basic ores in its output.
Leaving unwanted output in the machine: collect it or use the optional shredder setup to free space.
When to stop or switch
Keep the extractor running while Iridium supports your build plans; switch to another resource project once your Iridium stock is sufficient.
