WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

A general ore area on Prime, away from a special-resource site. Confirm the extractor’s displayed output at the chosen placement before establishing the supply.

A T1 Ore Extractor in a regular ore area produces Iron, Titanium, Cobalt, Silicon, and Magnesium. This is a practical basic-material supply when you need a mix for building and crafting. The extractor’s location affects its output, so use its displayed ore list to confirm that you have a general basic-ore site rather than relying on a particular visual landmark. T1 output is mixed; it does not let you choose one of these five ores alone.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A T1 Ore Extractor and the materials to build it.
  • Power for the extractor.
  • Oxygen and inventory capacity to reach the site and collect output.
  1. Choose a general ore area on Prime for the extractor site.
  2. Place the T1 Ore Extractor and inspect its displayed output.
  3. If the output does not show the basic-ore mix you need, try another placement and check again.
  4. Provide power and let the extractor run.
  5. Return to the extractor and collect the Iron, Titanium, Cobalt, Silicon, and Magnesium it has produced.
  6. Use the materials for construction and crafting, or store the surplus near your base.
  7. Before leaving, clear the extractor’s output slots so it has room to keep producing.

Farming tips

  • T1 and T2 extractors in an ore area can produce the five basic ores; T3 targets a single resource instead.
  • A Foundation Grid and Shredder can dispose of ores you do not need, if you have those structures available.

Repeat, collect and use

This is a repeatable farm while the extractor has power and free output space. Make collection and output clearing part of each return visit; the basic ores are ongoing output, not a finite hand-gathered cache.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting a T1 extractor to provide only one basic ore: it produces a mix, so collect and sort the useful materials.
  • Assuming any placement has the same output: check the displayed list and reposition if the desired basic ores are absent.
  • Taking only preferred items and leaving the rest until the extractor fills: clear the output fully or dispose of unwanted ores so production can continue.

When to stop or switch

Keep the extractor running while the mixed materials help your building stock. Switch to a targeted T3 setup if you need to focus production on one ore.
