Plant Cultivation

Cultivation turns a chosen plant into a renewable local production field. Its range, water, and energy requirements define where the field can operate.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

A cleared patch within the Cultivator’s displayed operational radius.

Place the Cultivator so its operating area includes clear ground, select a plant using the sapling control, and keep both upkeep inputs connected. Once plants spawn, collect the output through a suitable harvesting or logistics setup.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Cultivator unlocked and built.
  • Water supply connected to the building.
  • Energy supply connected to the local grid.
  • A plant species available in the selection control.
  1. Clear a patch that can fit within the Cultivator’s displayed range.
  2. Place the Cultivator and open its build-mode controls.
  3. Activate the middle sapling button to open plant selection.
  4. Choose an available species and check the range display again.
  5. Connect water and energy to satisfy operating upkeep.
  6. Allow Cultivator drones to spawn plants in the selected area.
  7. Collect the plants and route the output to storage, fuel, or the material use you need.

Farming tips

  • The range display shows where spawning can occur; keep intended growing ground inside it.
  • Upgrades can affect drones and upkeep, but do not assume they increase the operating radius.

Repeat, collect and use

Keep the building supplied and collect each new crop cycle. Replanting is handled by continued Cultivator operation; it is not a one-time harvest.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving the building without water or energy: check both connections when growth stalls.
  • Selecting a plant without checking whether the intended field is in range: use the area indicator.
  • Building a field without an output plan: connect collection and storage before relying on its yield.

When to stop or switch

Pause the Cultivator when its upkeep strains the grid or water supply, or when stored plants meet the immediate production target.
