The Energy research branch and a powered base or outpost with reliable biomass nearby.
Research the biomass power branch, build the plant on the grid, and maintain fuel delivery as an ongoing production chain. A cultivated plant supply can help, but preserve separate stock for materials if those plants have another use.

Keep fuel delivery distinct from any plant output reserved for buildings or other uses.
Repeat, collect and use
Fuel and power generation continue only while biomass is supplied. Refill or restore the collection loop whenever its reserve falls.
Common mistakes
Replacing dependable generation before confirming fuel delivery: keep backup capacity until the plant runs steadily.
Expecting a stocked plant to operate indefinitely: monitor its ongoing fuel need.
Sending every cultivated plant to fuel: reserve the materials required by current construction.
When to stop or switch
Stop adding biomass plants when fuel supply cannot keep up or the grid already has enough generation; switch to another power source if biomass is the bottleneck.
