Some Chaos Chamber rooms contain a small pedestal vault that looks like a gear. Find and shoot its nearby hidden skull, then interact with the vault to collect Rainbow Crystals. This is a room exploration reward rather than a guaranteed feature of every encounter, and the payout is useful for the run’s Blessings or end-room category spending.

How to farm

Before you go

  • Unlock the Chaos Chamber and enter a run.
  • Have a ranged weapon ready to shoot the concealed skull.
  • Leave time to search the area after or during the encounter.
  1. During an encounter, watch for a gear-like object on a pedestal that does not open when approached.
  2. Search nearby surfaces and corners for a small skull.
  3. Shoot the skull to activate the vault mechanism.
  4. Return to the gear vault and interact with it.
  5. Collect the Rainbow Crystals released by the opened vault.
  6. Finish the room encounter and pick up any other Crystal rewards.
  7. Carry the currency forward to buy a Blessing or feed a matching Loot Bunny.

Farming tips

  • Search around the vault’s immediate area; the skull is nearby rather than part of a separate route.
  • If combat is intense, clear enemies first so you can inspect the room without losing the run.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat whenever a room contains this vault; vaults are an occasional room feature, not a guaranteed spawn each run.

Common mistakes

  • Trying to interact repeatedly without finding the skull: locate and shoot the nearby skull first.
  • Leaving the room before collecting the payout: activate and loot the vault before progressing.
  • Confusing vault Crystals with a guaranteed amount: collect the reward shown in your run.

When to stop or switch

Stop searching once the local skull vault has opened and been collected, or abandon the search if it risks completing the encounter.
