WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Nessus, at the Centaur Village near the early Spartan quest route in Greece.
Use this Greece quest encounter to pursue centaur MIs while progressing through the early game. The target is Nessus himself and his loot; nearby centaurs are a secondary clear, not a substitute for the named enemy. Inspect each green item for its base type and random prefix or suffix, then keep pieces that suit your mastery.
Before you go Reach the Centaur Village quest encounter in Act I. Bring a build able to handle Nessus and the centaurs he calls for help. Leave inventory space for green drops and potions. Travel to the Centaur Village and approach Nessus to start the fight. When his nearby centaur pack joins, pull back and defeat the adds before returning to him. Watch for his heavy special attack; avoid engaging at dangerously low health when he has energy. Defeat Nessus and inspect all green equipment, checking the item base and its affixes. Pick up useful MIs and any saleable gear, then return to town or a nearby rebirth fountain. After the area resets, return to the encounter and fight Nessus again. Farming tips Separate the adds from Nessus when possible; clearing them first makes the main fight easier to read. Compare the MI’s actual stats and affixes with your current gear instead of keeping every green drop. Repeat, collect and use Repeatable while the campaign encounter can be reset. Each clear can yield different loot; neither a specific MI nor a useful affix is guaranteed.
Common mistakes Fighting the whole pack at once: retreat and thin the adds before focusing on Nessus. Expecting a particular weapon or affix every run: check each drop, and keep farming only if the target still fits your build. Starting another run with a full inventory: sell or stash gear after each clear so potential MIs are not missed. When to stop or switch Stop when you find a suitable centaur MI, outgrow the available item level, or can farm a later target more efficiently.
