WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The Loot Filter settings in the character options, with loot drops encountered in the field.
Update 7 introduces a limited loot filter that works by rarity. It helps narrow the drops you see while farming, but it does not offer a fully detailed system for choosing individual item types or affixes. Set it around the kind of gear you are currently willing to inspect, then revisit the options as your character progresses. Filtering changes what is shown; it does not improve drop chances or create items. This guide describes the PC Global Early Access implementation in Update 7, which may develop in later patches.
Have an active character in the current Early Access build.
Open the character options and locate Loot Filter settings.
Know which rarity levels you currently want to inspect.
Open the character options while in game.
Select the Loot Filter settings.
Review the rarity choices actually available in your build.
Enable the rarities whose drops you want to see and disable those you are not currently checking.
Return to combat or exploration and collect filtered items that appear.
Revisit the filter whenever your gear goal changes or you want to inspect a wider range of drops.
Farming tips
Use the filter to manage attention and inventory, not as a way to alter what enemies drop.
Widen the rarity selection when you need to compare gear broadly or suspect a useful lower-rarity base.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a reusable settings adjustment, not a loot farm. Reconfigure whenever needed; the filter does not generate additional rewards.
Common mistakes
Expecting item-type targeting: Update 7’s implementation is rarity-only, so inspect item details yourself.
Hiding rarities permanently: adjust the selection when your upgrade goal changes.
Assuming filtered drops are guaranteed: the setting controls visibility, not drop rates.
When to stop or switch
Stop adjusting the filter once it shows the rarities relevant to your current search. Revisit it when progression or crafting plans make other drops valuable.
