Keep charms and relics from Wild Lands drops

Collect socketable drops that can strengthen your build instead of overlooking them during equipment farming.

PC / Global Early Access, Update 7 Wild Lands build
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Enemy drops throughout the Wild Lands and other chapters in the Update 7 Early Access build.

Update 7 changes how charms and relics fit into the drop system: they no longer take slots from other drops. That makes it sensible to inspect these items during Wild Lands farming alongside ordinary gear. A charm or relic is useful when it fits an available socket and supports your build; the change does not mean every enemy drops one or that every piece is an upgrade. The known facts do not give specific drop rates or a dedicated farming route, so collect them opportunistically while pursuing bosses, quests, and other chapter content.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Reach enemies in areas you are already exploring or farming.
  • Have an item with an available socket, or storage space for a future fit.
  • Know which bonuses complement your current build.
  1. Fight enemies during normal Wild Lands progression or an encounter you have chosen to farm.
  2. Inspect the loot for charms and relics as well as equipment.
  3. Read each socketable’s effect and compare it with your build’s needs.
  4. Check whether you have a suitable item and open socket before deciding to equip it.
  5. Store a useful piece if you expect to use it later; otherwise sell or discard it when appropriate.
  6. Continue your chosen quest or encounter and repeat the inspection on later drops.

Farming tips

  • Since these drops no longer displace other drops, collect promising socketables without assuming they replace gear loot.
  • Decide on a bonus or build goal before storing duplicates.

Repeat, collect and use

Collection is opportunistic and can continue during ordinary combat, but there is no guaranteed socketable drop or dedicated repeat route established here.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting every enemy to drop a socketable: treat each one as a possible bonus, not a guaranteed reward.
  • Equipping without checking socket availability: verify the target item can use it.
  • Keeping every duplicate: retain pieces that match a build plan and clear out the rest.

When to stop or switch

Stop collecting a particular charm or relic when you have enough for your current socket plan or it no longer supports your build. Continue normal progression for other loot.
