Where to farm
Grain rows on the farm; buy suitable seed packets from Rhia in Rilia and harvest with the Scythe.
Wheat, barley, rye and rice are grain crops harvested with a Scythe. A grain plot is most useful when it serves a real kitchen or brewing need: plant a season-compatible seed, keep the row watered, then cut mature crops and carry the grain to the appropriate production storage. The available grain and its season depend on the current game state, so use the seed shop and recipe requirements to choose what to grow.

Check the recipes you intend to make and identify which grain input they require.
Inspect Rhia’s current seed stock in Rilia and choose a grain that can grow in the current season.
Prepare a compact row on open farm soil with the Hoe. Leave enough access to walk along the crop for a Scythe pass.
Plant the grain packet and water dry soil. If it rains, check moisture again the following day before watering.
Let the crop reach its mature harvest state; do not cut it early just to clear the field.
Use the Scythe across the mature grain row and collect the resulting harvest.
Carry grain to the kitchen or brewing storage and use it in recipes that call for that input.
Farming tips
Plant grain in a block so harvesting with the Scythe and replanting take fewer passes.
Keep grain batches labeled by intended use in your own storage plan, especially when both food and drinks need grain.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat with another season-compatible packet when production stock runs low. A grain harvest is a seasonal crop cycle; do not count on the same field continuing through a season change unless the crop remains suitable.
Common mistakes
Using a tool other than the Scythe can make a grain harvest inefficient; select the Scythe for mature grain.
Waiting past the season transition risks losing crops that cannot grow in the new season; harvest beforehand.
Planting without a recipe target can tie up field space; check kitchen and brewing needs first.
When to stop or switch
Stop harvesting for the cycle once the planned recipe stock is covered, or switch the field to a crop suited to the incoming season.
