Where to farm
Open farm ground beside existing tilled plots; use Rhia’s seed shop in Rilia to obtain the planned crop packet.
This is a field-expansion task for players who already have a crop plan and want to put new farm space into production. Rainfall leaves soil moist through the next day, giving you a short window to prepare and plant another block while reducing immediate watering work. The rain benefit is temporary, so the route includes a follow-up moisture check. Choose only crops compatible with the current season.
Open farm ground and a Hoe for preparing the additional plot.
A Watering Can for later dry checks.
A seed packet for a crop that can grow in the current season.
Choose the crop for the new block and confirm it is compatible with the current season.
Check that you have enough open ground for the planned planting, keeping access to the rows for later care and harvest.
During or just after rainfall, use the Hoe to prepare the additional soil and plant the compatible seeds.
Use the rain-moistened period to finish planting the block or prepare nearby soil for a later planting.
Return to the field by the following day and inspect the planted soil; rainfall does not keep it moist indefinitely.
Refill the Watering Can and water any dry planted tiles during subsequent dry weather.
When the crop matures, harvest it with the appropriate tool and carry the produce to storage or its planned tavern recipe.
Farming tips
Expand only as much as you can revisit and harvest; a larger block still needs follow-up care.
Keep the new block’s crop and season in mind when planning the next field visit.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat whenever you have open ground, a useful season-compatible crop, and a rain window for establishing another block. Each expansion is a new planting; rain does not make crops regrow or remove their seasonal limits.
Common mistakes
Treating rain as lasting beyond the following day can leave the plot dry; inspect it again and water dry tiles.
Planting a crop that cannot grow in the current season risks losing the planting at the season change; check compatibility first.
Opening more ground than you can manage can leave crops unattended; expand in blocks sized for your normal farm visits.
When to stop or switch
Stop expanding when you have enough planted area for your planned uses, cannot keep up with field checks, or the remaining season is unsuitable for the crop; switch to harvesting or another farm task.
