A reliable moisture check keeps planted crops moving through their growth cycle while avoiding wasted farm time on already moist soil.

Watering is a repeatable field-care task, not a need to blindly soak every tile on every pass. Walk the planted area, check which soil is dry, fill the Watering Can and water those tiles. Rainfall leaves soil moist through the following day, so a quick inspection after rain helps decide whether to focus on another task. Harvest mature crops and water the newly planted soil as part of the same field loop.
Repeat while crops remain planted and need water. The task ends for a tile when its crop is harvested or removed; new plantings begin a fresh care cycle.
Finish the pass once planted tiles are moist; switch to harvesting or tavern work until the next field check is needed.
