Where to farm
Available Volatile Kemono quests listed in Akikure Canyon.
Use this route when the Forge calls for the Core Orb associated with Akikure Canyon. Core Orbs mainly come from successful Volatile Kemono hunts, and the hunt location determines the orb type. That makes the quest’s region the essential selection check. A regular Kemono hunt in the Canyon does not follow this Volatile reward route. Before setting out, confirm the required orb at the Forge; after the hunt, inspect the rewards and inventory before spending anything. If your equipment requires a different regional type, choose a Volatile hunt in that region instead.
Have an available Volatile Kemono hunt listed for the region.
Have a weapon or armor Limit Break goal that requires the Canyon-associated Core Orb.
At the Forge, inspect the selected equipment’s Limit Break cost and note its Core Orb type.
Confirm that the needed type is associated with Akikure Canyon.
Open the Volatile Kemono quest listings and find a target whose listed region is Akikure Canyon.
Prepare for the selected target and start the Volatile hunt.
Defeat the Kemono to complete the hunt successfully.
Collect the hunt rewards and check your inventory for the regional Core Orb.
Return to the Forge and apply the orb only if it matches the intended upgrade.
Farming tips
Use the quest’s listed region to choose; the Kemono’s name alone does not tell you which regional orb it yields.
Keep the Forge cost in mind while selecting a target so you do not run this route for an orb you do not need.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat available Volatile hunts listed in Akikure Canyon while you need more of its regional Core Orb. Core Orbs are a main reward source from successful Volatile hunts, but an individual hunt is not guaranteed to provide one.
Common mistakes
Choosing a regular Canyon hunt: select a Volatile quest for the Core Orb route.
Selecting a Volatile hunt in another region: match the listing to Akikure Canyon.
Spending an orb without checking its type: verify it against the Forge cost first.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough matching orbs for the planned cost, or switch to the region associated with your next required orb type.
