WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Shadow of the Sacred Mountain sub-battlefield, at the Battle Flag immediately before the final flag and the nearby Zhuyan.
Genuine Qi comes from enemies and certain items. The Battle Flag before the final flag in Shadow of the Sacred Mountain sits near a Zhuyan, making this a compact loop when you want extra levels. Qi is not paid out by resting: defeat the enemy, return to the flag, and spend your carried Qi there.
Reach the Battle Flag immediately before the mission’s final flag.
Be equipped to defeat the nearby Zhuyan reliably.
Select Shadow of the Sacred Mountain from the battlefield map and progress to the Battle Flag before the final one.
Rest at the flag so you start the run with the nearby enemies reset.
Turn back toward the nearby Zhuyan and engage it. Deflect its attacks when possible, then finish it with your normal combat approach.
Collect the Genuine Qi it leaves behind before returning to the flag.
Use the flag’s Level Up option to spend the Qi on a Virtue that supports your current build.
If you want another run, rest at the flag to reset the enemy and repeat the same short path.
Farming tips
Spend Qi in modest batches if you expect a dangerous section; the official manual warns that carried Genuine Qi is lost on death.
The Zhuyan route is useful only if its fight is dependable for your character. A slower but safe loop beats repeatedly losing unspent Qi.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable while the battlefield is available: defeat the Zhuyan, collect its Qi, return and rest at the nearby flag, then run it again. Each run yields enemy currency, not a guaranteed fixed amount stated here.
Common mistakes
Expecting the flag itself to award Qi: it only lets you level and reset the nearby enemy; collect the enemy’s Qi first.
Carrying a large balance into a risky fight: spend it at the flag before pushing onward.
Treating the loop as worthwhile when the Zhuyan is inconsistent: pause it and progress until your build can handle the fight safely.
When to stop or switch
Stop once your next level costs more than the loop is worth, or when you have enough Virtue levels for the next progression attempt.
