WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Mining nodes throughout the Midnight zones, plus fixed Mining profession treasure locations.

Build knowledge into ordinary mining routes by collecting eligible weekly items, then add fixed Mining profession treasures for their one-time points. The weekly checklist includes five Igneous Rock Specimens and a Septarian Nodule, but caps and drop availability make these a weekly supplement rather than an unlimited farm.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Midnight Mining.
  • Access to Midnight zones for gathering and profession treasures.
  • A profession journal to track available specialization points.
  1. Start a mining circuit in a Midnight zone matching your ore or mote goal.
  2. Mine available nodes and check whether weekly Igneous Rock Specimen drops remain available.
  3. Continue until you have collected up to five specimens for the week, if they drop.
  4. Watch for the Septarian Nodule weekly drop and collect it if available.
  5. Visit uncollected Mining profession treasure locations for their fixed knowledge.
  6. Open the Mining journal, confirm which points were consumed, and invest in a relevant specialization.

Farming tips

  • Combine weekly drop hunting with material gathering so the route still produces ore when knowledge items do not appear.
  • Profession treasures are fixed sources; record which ones you have collected to avoid revisiting them.

Repeat, collect and use

Weekly drops are limited by their weekly caps. Profession treasures grant knowledge once per character and cannot be repeatedly farmed.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting a knowledge item from every node ignores weekly caps and chance; keep mining for materials after the cap.
  • Treating treasures as weekly resets wastes travel; they are one-time sources per character.
  • Failing to track consumed points can lead to spending into the wrong specialization; check the journal.

When to stop or switch

Stop the knowledge sweep when weekly items and unclaimed treasures are exhausted; continue mining only for materials or other eligible sources.
