A repeatable mid-galaxy mining route for stockpiling Trinium or Xanion as ship builds and upgrades advance.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Reachable mid-galaxy asteroid sectors whose map material display lists Trinium or Xanion.
Trinium and Xanion are later material goals on the inward progression path. Sector placement is procedural, so use the galaxy map to locate each ore rather than treating a distance boundary as guaranteed. Mine one target at a time, keep cargo space for raw ore, and return to a Resource Depot to refine it.
Mining ship with a turret and captain for remote operation orders.
Cargo capacity for raw ore and the planned return trip.
A Resource Depot for refining or selling collected ore.
Enough ship protection for the chosen sector’s threat level.
Open the galaxy map and search reachable sectors for the specific material you need: Trinium or Xanion.
Choose a target whose faction and threat context matches the mining ship’s defenses.
Check the ship’s mining turret, crew, and cargo space before sending it inward.
Travel to the sector, then mine asteroids directly or assign a Mining Operation there.
For a remote run, scout first if possible and review area score and cargo efficiency before dispatch.
Retrieve the ship when cargo is nearly full or the sector’s danger outweighs its expected value.
Dock at a Resource Depot and refine the raw ore; set aside the amount needed for your planned ship work.
Repeat the selected ore route or switch targets after confirming the other material is available in a reachable sector.
Farming tips
Keep separate cargo plans for each ore goal so a full hold of the wrong material does not delay construction.
A Mining Subsystem and advance scouting can inform remote area selection, but neither makes the area risk-free.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable while suitable sectors are available. The amount returned depends on the selected area, turret setup, cargo efficiency, and operation conditions.
Common mistakes
Choosing a sector based only on its apparent radial location: check the material listed on the map.
Mixing up Trinium and Xanion goals: verify the requested ore before assigning the operation or refining cargo.
Sending an under-defended miner into dangerous unclaimed space: use faction space or improve protection before repeating there.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the current build or upgrade has its required refined material reserve. Switch to the other ore only when a concrete construction need calls for it.
