Learning a Gift through its Blood Code menu is a direct Haze investment, separate from mastering it through combat.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Blood Code menu at a Mistle or Home Base.
Blood Code Gifts have two progression stages that are easy to conflate: learning a Gift requires its displayed Haze and gift points, while mastering an eligible Gift lets you inherit it for broader use. This guide covers the menu purchase. Use the Blood Code screen at a Mistle or Home Base, inspect the code’s available Gift tree, and check prerequisites before paying. Learning is useful when you want a new ability now; if your goal is to master something already learned, use eligible Gifts in combat or spend an applicable Awake item instead. This is a spending action, not a repeatable Haze farm.
Have Haze available for the selected Gift’s displayed cost.
Have the required gift points and any prerequisites shown in the menu.
Select the Blood Code that contains the Gift you want to learn.
Open the Blood Code menu at a Mistle or Home Base.
Choose the Blood Code whose Gifts you want to inspect.
Move through its available Gift list and select the desired ability.
Read the displayed cost, gift point requirement, and any prerequisite Gifts.
Confirm that the Gift fits your build and that you can meet its requirements.
Pay the Haze and gift points to learn the selected Gift.
Equip it in your loadout and test it in a safe encounter; pursue mastery separately if you want to inherit it.
Farming tips
Check whether the Gift is active or passive and whether your current build can make use of it before spending.
If your real goal is inheritance, focus on the mastery indicator instead of repeatedly purchasing learned Gifts.
Repeat, collect and use
You can learn other available Gifts as often as you meet their requirements, but each purchase spends Haze and gift points; it does not generate resources.
Common mistakes
Confusing learning with mastery: learning unlocks the Gift for its Blood Code, while mastery is a separate combat progression.
Confirming without checking prerequisites: the menu shows the requirements before you spend.
Buying Gifts for a code you are not using: choose based on an actual build or inheritance plan.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the needed Gift is learned and equipped, or save Haze if the purchase competes with a more urgent level or equipment upgrade.
