A fixed slab pickup in the DLC can finish one standard equipment upgrade without relying on a rare enemy drop.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Dragon’s Sanctum in Shulva, in the room with the first pair of Sanctum Knights.
Titanite Slabs are the final material for taking standard equipment from +9 to +10. Dragon’s Sanctum contains a fixed slab in a chest in the room with the first two Sanctum Knights. This is a one-time collection in the current cycle, not an unlimited farm. Reach the chest through the DLC route, defeat or evade the guards, open it, and bring the slab to a blacksmith for the selected standard weapon or armor. Check your upgrade plan before spending it because slabs are scarce. This area is part of the Crown of the Sunken King DLC, included in the stated Scholar edition.
Own access to the Crown of the Sunken King DLC area and reach Dragon’s Sanctum.
Bring equipment suitable for handling or avoiding Sanctum Knights.
Have a standard equipment item at +9 if you intend to spend the slab immediately.
Enter Dragon’s Sanctum from Shulva and progress to the room containing the first two Sanctum Knights.
Observe the knights’ positions and draw them away from the chest area if needed.
Defeat the guards or move past them carefully, then approach the chest.
Open the chest and collect the Titanite Slab.
Check inventory to confirm the pickup and review which standard equipment still needs its final upgrade.
Travel to a blacksmith and apply the slab to the chosen item’s +9 to +10 step.
Keep any remaining Slabs for other high-priority standard equipment.
Farming tips
Confirm the item uses standard Titanite before bringing it to the blacksmith; special equipment follows a separate upgrade material path.
The pickup is fixed and limited per cycle, so collect it before attempting rare enemy-drop farming.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a one-time fixed pickup per cycle. A Bonfire Ascetic can restore eligible content but does not guarantee that unique chest rewards return; do not treat it as a repeat farm.
Common mistakes
Confusing the slab with Twinkling Titanite or Petrified Dragon Bone; check the blacksmith’s upgrade path before spending it.
Opening the chest while both knights are attacking; control the room first so the pickup is not interrupted.
Burning an Ascetic expecting a guaranteed second slab; use only confirmed repeatable sources for additional slabs.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the chest is looted and the slab is used or reserved for a specific +9 standard item; use a different source if more slabs are needed.
