WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Majula mansion, in a chest on the second story.
The mansion in Majula holds a chest with three Titanite Shards. These reinforce standard equipment at the early upgrade stages; they are different from Large Titanite Shards, which are used later. Collect this fixed cache once, then take the shards to a blacksmith and check which item you want to improve. The pickup is useful when you want to strengthen a regular weapon or armor piece without relying on enemy drops. It is not a repeatable farm: resting at a bonfire does not refill the chest.
Bring a standard weapon or armor piece to upgrade, or save the shards until you choose one.
Travel to Majula and enter the mansion.
Make your way to the second story.
Find and open the chest there.
Collect the three Titanite Shards and check your inventory.
Visit a blacksmith and inspect the upgrade menu for standard equipment.
Choose an item whose displayed requirement calls for Titanite Shards, then apply the upgrade if you want to spend them.
If you need more shards after this cache is empty, pursue another pickup or enemy source rather than returning to this chest.
Farming tips
Check the material name in the blacksmith’s menu: Titanite Shards and Large Titanite Shards are separate materials for different upgrade stages.
Concentrate the limited early supply on equipment you expect to keep using.
Repeat, collect and use
One-time fixed pickup per game cycle. The three Titanite Shards do not return after ordinary bonfire rests; use other pickups or supported enemy drops for more.
Common mistakes
Looking for Large Titanite Shards in this chest: it contains regular Titanite Shards, so use it for the matching early upgrade requirements.
Expecting the chest to refill after resting: collect it once, then switch to another source if you need more.
Spending the shards without checking the upgrade menu: confirm the chosen item requires Titanite Shards before committing them.
When to stop or switch
Stop after collecting the three shards and either using them on a planned standard-equipment upgrade or saving them. Move to another source when you need additional material.
