WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Shrine of Amana, from Tower of Prayer toward the cave containing Lizardmen and a chest, or from a nearby route bonfire.
Shrine of Amana Lizardmen are a possible Human Effigy source. Begin from a bonfire on the route, approach the cave with Lizardmen, and draw targets onto solid ground before fighting. The area’s water, ranged attackers, and narrow safe footing make a careless run costly, so clear only the enemies you can handle and collect drops before resetting. Effigies reverse hollowing when used from inventory; their separate bonfire use suppresses most online activity in the area. Drop results are random, and the route is worthwhile only while you can safely repeat it.
Reach Shrine of Amana and activate a bonfire near the Lizardmen route.
A ranged option or a safe way to lure enemies onto solid ground.
Optional item-discovery equipment.
Rest at the Tower of Prayer or another nearby route bonfire.
Advance carefully toward the Lizardmen cave, watching for water edges and enemies that can attack from range.
Use a ranged attack or cautious approach to pull one Lizardman onto stable ground.
Defeat the target without dodging toward the water, then check for a Human Effigy.
Clear other Lizardmen on the route only if they can be separated safely; collect each drop.
Return to the bonfire and rest to restore eligible enemies while they continue to respawn.
Repeat until you have the reserve you need, then use an Effigy from inventory to reverse hollowing.
Farming tips
Lure enemies away from water before attacking; a fall can erase the value of several successful kills.
Item discovery can improve the chance of a drop, but do not sacrifice enough defense to make the route unreliable.
Repeat, collect and use
Lizardmen can be farmed while they respawn normally; repeated kills may eventually despawn enemies. Ascetics reset eligible content but permanently raise local intensity.
Common mistakes
Fighting at the water’s edge; pull enemies onto broad ground before committing.
Treating a kill as a guaranteed Effigy; keep the loop going only if the actual drops justify the risk.
Using an Ascetic without checking intensity; try another source before making Shrine of Amana permanently harder.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough Effigies for your planned uses or when the water hazards make this route less dependable than the Lost Bastille dogs.
