WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

The Collector stands in the passage between biomes, including the first passage after Prisoners’ Quarters.

Cells are run currency used to unlock blueprints at the Collector. The reliable collection loop is to clear enemies, make deliberate purchases at each Collector stop, and avoid carrying a large unspent balance into a dangerous biome. A blueprint must be unlocked before its gear can enter future runs.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Start a normal run and reach a passage with cells.
  • Have an available blueprint whose unlock cost you want to pay.
  • Leave enough health and supplies to continue after the passage.
  1. Clear enemies on the route and pick up the cells they leave behind.
  2. Reach the Collector passage and check which blueprints are available and their costs.
  3. Choose one unlock that supports a weapon, skill, mutation, or other progression goal you actually want.
  4. Deposit cells into that blueprint; partial payments count toward its cost.
  5. If you can afford another useful unlock, pay for it before approaching the exit.
  6. Continue the run and repeat the same collection and spending cycle at later Collector stops.
  7. After the blueprint is fully paid, use the item pool in future runs and start saving for another target.

Farming tips

  • Prioritize a specific unlock instead of scattering small payments across many expensive blueprints.
  • Treat a passage as a safe spending checkpoint: unspent cells can be lost if the run ends.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable across normal runs. Each completed blueprint is a one-time unlock; further cell farming funds other unlocks.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving the passage with unspent cells risks losing them on death; spend what you can before exiting.
  • Paying into a blueprint you do not plan to use slows access to a more useful unlock; inspect costs and choose a concrete target.
  • Assuming an unlocked blueprint equips itself; it enters the available gear pool, so select it through the normal run options when relevant.

When to stop or switch

Stop funding the current blueprint once its cost is paid; switch to another Collector unlock or continue the run with a smaller carried balance.
