Where to farm

Public Events on eligible destination patrol maps; Distortions appear on their active destination.

Public Events on eligible patrol maps are a direct route to refreshed destination weapons and armor. Complete the Heroic objective when the event supports one. An active Distortion raises rewards by one tier, so check the Director map before traveling. Collect the event payout and inspect the gear before moving to another event. Base completion grants Tier 3, Heroic completion Tier 4, and a Distortion improves rewards by one tier. These tier statements describe the activity system; they do not promise a particular weapon or armor piece on an individual completion.

How to farm

Before you go

Access to a destination with a Public Event.
Ability to complete its Heroic objective when available.
An active Distortion on that destination for the tier increase.

Open the Director map and choose a destination showing a Public Event.
Travel there and read the event objective and indicators.
Complete the Heroic objective when the event supports one.
During a Distortion, complete its event objectives for the stated tier increase.
Collect the payout and inspect the destination gear.
Move to another available event if you need further drops.

Farming tips

Check the map for active events before traveling, especially when seeking a Distortion.
Follow the event’s live indicators to determine how to reach its Heroic version.

Repeat, collect and use

Public Events can be repeated while available on eligible destinations. The Distortion bonus applies only when that event is active.

Common mistakes

Finishing the standard objective while Heroic conditions are available; follow the event indicators.
Expecting a Distortion bonus from an ordinary event; confirm the event type on the map.
Traveling without checking availability; select a destination with an active event.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have the destination item or tier you need, or change destinations if no suitable event is active.
