Where to farm
Pinnacle Ops in the Director or the mission’s destination node.
Exotic missions provide focused routes to signature weapons and associated catalyst pursuits. Choose an available mission in the Director, verify its access requirements, and complete its combat and mission objectives. Check the reward display to confirm the mission matches your target. Collect the payout and review any remaining catalyst or reward progress before repeating. Mission unlock steps may be one-time, and a weapon or catalyst reward may have separate conditions, so distinguish the item you are chasing from the activity’s initial access path. The available mission list includes activities such as The Whisper, Zero Hour, Presage, Avalon, and Encore, subject to unlocks and availability.
Unlock access to the chosen mission; some require an expansion or other content prerequisite.
A target Exotic or catalyst associated with that mission.
A fireteam of up to three players if desired.
Open the Activities guide and find an available Exotic mission.
Select it and read its prerequisite and reward details.
Unlock the mission or obtain required access if needed.
Launch with a loadout suited to the mission’s combat and mechanics.
Complete its objectives and encounters.
Collect the reward and check the panel for remaining weapon or catalyst progress.
Repeat only if the panel offers an eligible reward or progress objective.

Repeat, collect and use
Repeat only when the mission’s current reward display allows another eligible weapon, catalyst, or progression reward. One-time unlock steps do not repeat.
Common mistakes
Launching a mission that does not list your target; inspect its rewards first.
Assuming the catalyst is awarded with the weapon; check its stated objective.
Ignoring access prerequisites; confirm the mission can launch before forming a group.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you acquire the desired weapon or remaining mission reward, or change to a mission that lists your target.
