Grim Favors alongside Nightmare Dungeons

Pairing nearby Whisper objectives with a Nightmare Dungeon adds Tree of Whispers cache progress to the outing.

Where to farm

Nightmare Dungeons in regions where the world map shows active Grim Favor objectives.

This combined route suits characters who have both the Tree of Whispers and Nightmare Dungeons unlocked. A dungeon does not automatically count toward a Whisper objective. Check the world map for currently eligible tasks in the same region, then take only objectives that fit naturally into the trip. Turn in the required Grim Favors at the Tree to collect a cache; if there is no useful overlap, run the dungeon on its own.

How to farm

Before you go

  • Access to the Tree of Whispers and Nightmare Dungeons.
  • A Nightmare Sigil for a dungeon in a relevant region.
  • Active Whisper objectives that overlap the route.
  1. Open the map and locate a dungeon linked to a sigil you can use.
  2. Check that region for active Whisper objectives and their requirements.
  3. Choose tasks that are close enough to complete during the same outing.
  4. Use the sigil and complete the Nightmare Dungeon’s objectives and encounter.
  5. Finish practical nearby Whisper tasks until the Favor requirement is met.
  6. Visit the Tree of Whispers and claim the cache.

Farming tips

  • Prefer objectives that fit the dungeon trip instead of crossing the region for a small detour.
  • Treat the cache as an added reward; a lack of overlap does not prevent dungeon farming.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat when new dungeon locations and Whisper objectives overlap. Whisper offerings rotate, so the pairing depends on the current map.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming every dungeon grants Favors: verify an active objective on the map.
  • Chasing distant tasks that erase the efficiency of the route: stick to nearby overlap.
  • Forgetting to turn in completed Favors: visit the Tree to claim the cache.

When to stop or switch

Stop the combined loop after claiming the cache or when no useful nearby objectives remain; continue with dungeon-only runs if appropriate.
