The Sphinx’s Riddle of Rumination awards three Ferrystones when completed. This is a quest reward rather than a repeatable resource loop, so take it when you are already pursuing the Sphinx’s riddles and can complete the challenge. Collect the reward, then use the stones for active Portcrystal destinations or keep them for remote travel.
Before you go Reach the Sphinx and begin its riddles. Have access to the required exploration progress for the Riddle of Rumination. Bring the item or preparation needed for the riddle’s completion. Progress to the Sphinx encounter through exploration. Start the Riddle of Rumination and identify the required completion condition in-game. Complete the riddle without leaving the encounter unfinished. Claim the reward and check inventory for three Ferrystones. Record the reward as collected; it is not a chest reset or repeat farm. Use the stones outdoors when you have active Portcrystal destinations selected from the map. Farming tips Pursue this reward as part of Sphinx progression rather than making a separate trip solely for consumable travel items. The Eternal Ferrystone reduces routine demand for ordinary stones, so save these for situations where consumables are useful. Repeat, collect and use One-time riddle reward. The three Ferrystones are limited to that completion; no repeat cycle is established.
Common mistakes Assuming the reward comes from any Sphinx riddle; the specific Riddle of Rumination is the named source. Leaving before claiming or checking the reward; confirm the Ferrystones entered inventory. Planning to repeat the encounter for more copies; treat the reward as limited. When to stop or switch Stop once all three Ferrystones are in inventory. Continue Sphinx progression for its other rewards only if they suit your goals.
