Preparation means knowing which builds you will need afterward, collecting any missing shard upgrades, and checking the reset details before committing. Gems, gold, Defender Medals, materials, and already unlocked Wayfarer weapons are among the recorded items that are not reset, but verify the current interface for your account.
Before you go Meet the current Ancient Power reset floor and Ascension requirements. Identify the gear and shards needed to rebuild after the reset. Be prepared for equipment to return to Campaign level and ungilded shards to level 1. Review every hero and defense build you expect to use after the reset. Identify key shards that are ungilded and plan to relevel them after the downgrade. Keep track of important equipment and mods; item levels may fall even when mod quality remains. Check the current reset interface for exactly what will be downgraded or preserved. Confirm you have a post-reset route for experience, gear, and shard progression. Speak with Mananode only after the rebuild plan is workable. After resetting, equip the awarded random Prestigious weapon and rebuild from the saved priorities. Farming tips Gilded shards avoid the recorded downgrade applied to ungilded shards; prioritize valuable shards before resetting if possible. Materials, consumables, currency, and already unlocked Wayfarer weapons are recorded as preserved, while item Chaos levels can still fall. Repeat, collect and use Preparation is needed before each reset because floor requirements can rise. The reset itself is a prestige action, not a repeatable farm run.
Common mistakes Assuming all shards retain their level; ungilded shards and Hyper Shards are downgraded to level 1. Assuming equipment or mods are fully preserved; gear returns to Campaign level and mod Chaos level may downgrade. When to stop or switch Proceed only when you can tolerate the rebuild and the reset’s benefits suit your goal; otherwise keep improving your current gear first.
