Process shards into shard packs

Disenchanting unwanted shards converts them into same-tier dust that can be exchanged for another pack.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Shard inventory for disenchanting, then the War Recruiter for dust exchange.

Turn unwanted shards into shard dust, then trade ten dust of a tier with the War Recruiter for one new shard pack. This is a processing loop rather than a guaranteed way to obtain a chosen shard: the new pack is random. Use it when you have shards you do not need and want another roll from that tier’s pool. Check the shard’s tier before disenchanting so the resulting dust supports the pack you want.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Have shards you are willing to disenchant.
  • Know which shard tier you want to exchange into a pack.
  • Keep the shard you intend to process available in inventory.
  1. Open your shard inventory and sort through shards you do not plan to use.
  2. Check each candidate shard’s tier and confirm it is safe to remove.
  3. Use the shard disenchant action to convert it into shard dust of the same tier.
  4. Repeat processing until you have ten dust for the tier you are targeting.
  5. Visit the War Recruiter and exchange the ten dust for one new shard pack.
  6. Open the pack and inspect the random shards it contains.
  7. Equip or upgrade useful results; keep unwanted shards for another processing cycle if appropriate.

Farming tips

  • Disenchanting removes the shard, so do not process an item needed by another hero or defense setup.
  • Dust tier matters: same-tier dust is the input for the pack exchange you want.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable when you have ten dust of a tier and expendable shards. Each exchange uses ten dust for one pack; pack contents are random.

Common mistakes

  • Disenchanting a useful or upgraded shard by mistake; inspect the item and its build uses first.
  • Combining dust from the wrong tier for your target; verify the dust tier before exchanging.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have the shards needed for your build or when further random packs are less useful than saving shards for later.
