Where to farm

Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace, Mohgwyn Palace; the bird patrols across the ravine from the grace overlook.

At Palace Approach Ledge-Road, the large bird across the ravine can be drawn toward the ledge with a ranged attack. Its charge carries it off the cliff, yielding runes without requiring a fight against the nearby Albinauric group. You need Mohgwyn Palace access, so this is a later progression option rather than a starting farm. The route is distinct from clearing the slope: it focuses on one ranged lure and a safe reset.

How to farm

Before you go

Reach Mohgwyn Palace through Varre’s quest or the Consecrated Snowfield portal.
Bring a bow or crossbow and matching ammunition.
Have the grace activated so the route can be reset safely.

Rest at Palace Approach Ledge-Road and face out toward the ravine.
Locate the large bird moving on the opposite side.
Aim a ranged attack at it and hit once to draw its attention.
Remain near the grace-side ledge as it turns and charges toward you.
Wait for it to fall from the cliff, then collect the rune reward if it is safely accessible from the ledge.
Rest at the grace to respawn the bird.
Repeat the ranged lure without riding down the slope.

Farming tips

A low-cost bow shot is enough to trigger the approach; avoid spending ammunition on repeated hits.
If the bird does not fall, reposition near the grace-side edge and try again from a clear line of sight.

Repeat, collect and use

The bird respawns when you rest at the grace; repeat until your level-up or purchase goal is covered.

Common mistakes

Riding down to chase the bird: stay at the overlook and let the fall resolve.
Confusing this with the Albinauric clear: this loop needs a ranged weapon, not an area attack.
Attempting it without Palace access: use an accessible local farm until the late-game route is open.

When to stop or switch

Stop once you have the runes needed for your next goal, or switch to the Albinaurics if a ranged lure is unreliable and your build can clear them safely.
