WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A Planetary Mining Location detected by a ship’s Detailed Surface Scanner; operate the Vodel Rhino SRV at the selected site.
This PC Live surface-mining loop starts with a location found by a ship’s Detailed Surface Scanner and continues with the Vodel Rhino SRV. The Rhino includes a Planetary Mining Deposit Scanner, a Refinery, and a Mining Rig Deployment Module. At the site, use the vehicle’s live prompts and interfaces to scan and work deposits, then monitor refinery and cargo output as the activity proceeds. The available sources establish this equipment-based workflow but do not specify a universal deposit interaction sequence, guaranteed commodity, or fixed yield. Check the current vehicle prompts and cargo readout to identify what the chosen location is producing. Once output is available, carry it back to a market that accepts the commodity and sell through the station’s market interface. This makes each run a repeatable location-based collection effort, with the actual output determined in game.
Ship with a Detailed Surface Scanner and access to a landable planet.
Rhino equipped with its deposit scanner, refinery, and mining-rig module.
Cargo capacity for the output and a reachable market for sale.
Scan a landable planet with the ship’s Detailed Surface Scanner.
Review the planetary scan results and select a detected Planetary Mining Location.
Check the Rhino equipment panel for the deposit scanner, refinery, and rig deployment module before setting out.
Land at the selected site and board the Rhino.
Use the vehicle prompts to scan a deposit, then follow the active interface instructions to deploy and operate a rig.
Watch the mining and refinery displays to confirm collected output and check cargo before leaving the site.
Return to a station with a market, sell commodities the market accepts, and note which output remains useful or profitable for your next run.
Farming tips
Read the live refinery and cargo displays during the run; the location marker by itself does not identify a guaranteed commodity or yield.
Deposits can deplete and recover, so move on when the site’s current output slows or the activity indicates it is exhausted.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat by selecting another detected location or returning when a depleted deposit has recovered. Each run’s commodities and quantity depend on the active deposit; sell collected cargo at a market that accepts it.
Common mistakes
Assuming the DSS marker guarantees a specific mineral; verify the output through the Rhino’s interfaces.
Leaving without checking refinery and cargo state; confirm what was collected before returning to a market.
Expecting a depleted site to keep producing at the same rate; move on or return after recovery.
When to stop or switch
End the run when the site is depleted, your cargo is sufficient for the current goal, or the remaining output no longer justifies staying; sell before starting another collection loop.
