Clear the mound NPCs in a manageable section, looting eligible drops as you go.
Check each corpse for the cap and update the quest objective counter after collecting.
If the counter has not advanced, continue through the same named spawn pocket rather than broadening to unverified camps.
When the objective is complete, stop killing for this item and follow the quest journal to the next objective or turn-in.
