WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The active Duskmold quest objective and its listed turn-in or next-step location on Live.
The Twittering Fungus Cap and Doomshriek Mushrooms are quest items with separate named sources in Duskmold. The October 21, 2026 Live update fixed both drops, but does not publish coordinates, rates, or a combined route. This guide covers the handoff after collection: verify the right item requirement, preserve the output until the journal credits it, and move on through the task. It is useful when a character has already gathered the item and needs to finish the progression step cleanly.
An active Duskmold quest requiring Twittering Fungus Cap or Doomshriek Mushrooms.
The required item or items in inventory, or access to the named source if the count is incomplete.
Open the Quest window and select the active Duskmold task; note the exact required item and remaining count.
Check inventory for the required item before returning to the source. The Twittering Fungus Cap is associated with the Twittering Mounds; Doomshriek Mushrooms use their named source.
If the count is short, return only to the source named for that objective and collect the missing item; the October fix does not guarantee a drop on any particular kill.
Return to the location or NPC named by the task and complete the listed hand-in or interaction.
Reopen the journal and verify that the item objective registers as complete.
Read the newly active task step and follow its stated destination or encounter rather than continuing to clear the completed item source.
Keep any remaining quest items until the task confirms the step and you know whether another objective still requires them.
Farming tips
Treat the two items as distinct objectives; the patch confirms corrected drops but does not say either source provides both items.
The quest journal’s counter is the useful completion check; do not infer credit merely from seeing an item in inventory.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a quest progression handoff, not a repeatable reward farm. Collection repeats only if the active objective still needs items; task completion and turn-ins are limited to the quest’s available steps.
Common mistakes
Returning with the wrong Duskmold item: compare the task’s exact item name before leaving the zone.
Discarding or handing off extras before the journal advances: retain items until the objective registers.
Continuing to farm after the counter completes: follow the next quest step or turn-in instead.
When to stop or switch
Stop the collection step when the journal records the required item objective, then continue to the next listed task step or final turn-in.
