WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Public Events across Appalachia; Gold Press Machines at locations such as Foundation and Crater.

Public Events provide Treasury Notes, and Gold Press Machines convert those notes into Gold Bullion after Gold Bullion access is unlocked. This is a progression currency loop rather than a direct Caps farm. Complete the Wastelanders Main Quest gate, join Public Events from their map marker, then exchange notes at a machine. Because exchange is capped by the current daily limit and character maximum, check the machine’s status before collecting more for immediate conversion.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Complete the Wastelanders Main Quest to unlock Gold Bullion access.
  • Have Public Events available on the map.
  • Carry Treasury Notes and have access to a Gold Press Machine.
  1. Open the map and locate a Public Event marked with its own event icon.
  2. Join the event and complete its displayed objectives rather than leaving before the reward registers.
  3. Claim the completion rewards and check inventory for Treasury Notes.
  4. Travel to an available Gold Press Machine, such as at Foundation or Crater.
  5. Exchange Treasury Notes for Gold Bullion up to the machine’s current allowance.
  6. Visit the Gold Bullion vendor whose plans match your progression goal.
  7. Return to Public Events for more notes when you have room under the character’s bullion cap.

Farming tips

  • Public Events and Wastelanders daily quests both provide Treasury Notes; use either source if the event rotation is quiet.
  • The live machine indicates whether your daily exchange allowance is exhausted; unexchanged notes can wait in inventory.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat with further eligible Public Events and daily quests; daily exchange limits restrict conversion, and the character has a 10,000 bullion maximum.

Common mistakes

  • Visiting a Gold Press Machine before unlocking Bullion through the Main Quest; complete the gate first.
  • Confusing Treasury Notes with Gold Bullion; notes must be exchanged at a machine.
  • Continuing to exchange after the daily cap; stop when the machine indicates the allowance is used.

When to stop or switch

Stop exchanging for the day at the machine’s limit, or stop earning bullion when you reach the character maximum or your plan cost.
