WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Weapons workbench for scrapping; NPC vendor stations across Appalachia for sales.
This is an inventory-processing loop rather than a guaranteed weapon farm: gather unwanted gear from activities, then sort it before disposal. Workbench scrapping can return Scrip and may produce a loose mod or learned recipe, while an NPC vendor offers Caps for items you leave intact. The same weapon cannot be both scrapped and sold, so choose its purpose before acting. Use the vendor’s displayed offer to judge whether the sale is worthwhile.
Before you go Have surplus Legendary weapons that you are willing to dispose of. Know which effects you want to pursue through workbench scrapping. Carry enough space to transport the unsold sale group. Open inventory and mark weapons to keep, scrap for an effect, or sell intact. Take the scrap group to a Weapons workbench and scrap only the selected items. Collect the Scrip and check whether a mod or recipe outcome occurred. Carry the separate sale group to an NPC vendor. Review the displayed Caps offer for each weapon before confirming sale. Spend or save Caps according to your current plan, and keep useful loose mods or recipes for crafting. Repeat the sort whenever activity rewards leave you over capacity. Farming tips Prioritize learning a desired effect before selling a weapon that carries it; scrapping is chance-based but sale permanently removes that opportunity. Compare the vendor offer with your storage and carry needs; sell only items you no longer need. Repeat, collect and use Repeat whenever new unwanted Legendary weapons enter your inventory; every sale or scrap consumes the chosen item.
Common mistakes Trying to sell a weapon after scrapping; scrapped gear is consumed, so assign one path first. Selling a piece with an effect you still want to pursue; set it aside for the matching workbench. Assuming all vendors pay the same value or that sale income is fixed; check the offer shown in the transaction. When to stop or switch Stop when inventory is manageable or the vendor no longer has useful Caps capacity for your current sale session.
