Riding Shotgun offers an event-based Caps loop at Big Bend Tunnel East. Speak with Vinny to see whether a run is currently startable, escort the caravan through its defense objectives, and collect the completion reward. The current Activity system lists a Caps reward, but this guide does not promise a particular total per hour. Vendor sales can add Caps, provided you keep sale items separate from gear reserved for scrapping or use.
Before you go Reach Big Bend Tunnel East and speak with Vinny. Bring combat supplies for a tunnel escort and defense. Sort inventory into keep, scrap, and sell groups before the run. Check with Vinny whether Riding Shotgun is available to start. Accept the event and follow the caravan’s objective markers through the tunnel. Defeat attackers that threaten progress and complete the final escort objective. Wait for the activity completion confirmation and collect its Caps reward. At a vendor, sell only the separate items marked for sale after checking the displayed offer. Keep desired Legendary gear and scrap candidates out of the sale group. Return to Vinny when ready to check for another run. Farming tips Riding Shotgun is triggered through Vinny and has a repeat interval; do not expect it to appear in the ordinary Featured Activity rotation. The event’s Caps are distinct from vendor income, so track both without assuming a fixed run yield. Repeat, collect and use Repeat when Vinny permits another event start after the 20-minute interval; vendor sales continue only while you have items to sell.
Common mistakes Attempting to launch from Featured Activities; visit Vinny for this excluded-from-rotation event. Selling a Legendary item meant for mod scrapping; make the keep/scrap/sell decision before visiting a vendor. Assuming a run begins immediately after completion; check Vinny’s current availability. When to stop or switch Stop when your Caps target is reached or Vinny cannot start another run; switch to another available Caps source if needed.
