Vehicles and Harvesting

Vehicles make large crop rows easier to tend by applying farm actions across tiles while driving.

PC / Global, full release (May 30, 2025)
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Farm roads and prepared crop rows; vehicle controls select the crop action to perform.

Use a vehicle for repetitive row work once it is available and you understand its action controls. Set the task before driving, then travel along prepared rows so each crop tile receives the intended action. Vehicles support crop work; trees and animals still use their separate harvest interactions.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Unlock and access the relevant vehicle.
  • Have crop rows prepared for the action you plan to take.
  • Check fuel and any displayed vehicle operating requirement.
  1. Get onto the available farm vehicle and inspect its controls.
  2. Select the crop action you need, such as plowing, planting, watering, or harvesting, if offered.
  3. Line up with one edge of a prepared crop row.
  4. Drive down the row at a pace that lets the working area cover its tiles.
  5. Turn at the end and cover any missed tiles without repeating completed work unnecessarily.
  6. Check crop markers to confirm the selected action took effect.
  7. Collect the harvested crops and route useful stock to quests or processors.

Farming tips

  • Use straight, planned passes on compact rows to reduce missed tiles.
  • Confirm the active action before driving; the vehicle may be set to a different farm task.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat row passes for each crop action as needed. Harvest rounds continue with new ready crops; a one-time vehicle unlock is not itself a harvest loop.

Common mistakes

  • Driving with the wrong action selected; verify the control setting before starting a pass.
  • Assuming vehicle actions cover trees or animals; use those areas’ own prompts.
  • Ignoring fuel or displayed operating limits; check the vehicle before a long row session.

When to stop or switch

Stop vehicle work when the crop rows show the intended action is complete or when no crops are ready; switch to animal, tree, or processor rounds.
