WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Wild Habitat, New Nature Territory, or Underdust Suburbs.
Chitin can be gathered from mantises or Webling Larvae nests at named locations. Choose the approach that fits your equipment: fight the creatures or use a tool to destroy nests, then collect the resulting material.
Weapons adequate for Impious Mantises if choosing the combat route.
Cutter or suitable tool for destroying Webling Larvae nests.
Choose one of the named locations and prepare for its local threats.
Look for Impious Mantises, Blasphemous Mantises, or Webling Larvae nests.
If fighting, defeat Impious Mantises or loot Blasphemous Mantises as appropriate.
If targeting larvae, destroy a Webling Larvae nest with your tool.
Collect any Chitin from defeated creatures or destroyed nests.
Check nearby targets before returning to the airship.
Use the haul toward armor or equipment upgrades that require Chitin.
Farming tips
The nest route can suit a player who prefers targeted tool use, while mantises require combat readiness.
Carry enough expedition supplies to finish collecting and return safely.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat at the named locations while additional creatures or nests are available. No fixed drop per creature or guaranteed replenishment cycle is established.
Common mistakes
Arriving without weapons or a nest-destruction tool: choose and equip your route before landing.
Expecting every kill or nest to yield the same amount: quantities are not guaranteed.
Confusing the mantis types: the documented methods specify Impious Mantises to kill and Blasphemous Mantises to loot.
When to stop or switch
Stop once your planned armor or equipment recipe has its required Chitin, or withdraw if your expedition supplies or combat capacity are running low.
