Belt Logistics — guide illustration
Factory automation

Belt Logistics

Conveyors link miners, storage, and processing into a continuous factory line. Testing a short route and keeping material flows legible reduces avoidable blockages as the system grows.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Between a miner outlet and an accessible storage chest or processing row on the factory floor.

Start at the actual machine outlet and route a small belt to one buffer. Confirm that items travel in the intended direction, then add destinations or splitters only after the first connection is dependable.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Conveyor equipment unlocked
  • A working miner or other item source
  • A clear route to storage or processing
  • A buffer or destination that can accept the output
  1. Inspect the source machine and locate the outlet that emits the material.
  2. Place the first conveyor segment directly at that outlet, following its connection indicator.
  3. Route a short line to one chest or buffer rather than connecting multiple consumers immediately.
  4. Run the source and verify that items move in the intended direction.
  5. Check for gaps, blocked connections, and full storage if items stop.
  6. Extend the belt to its processing destination once the buffer test succeeds.
  7. Add a splitter only when you have clearly assigned destinations and can observe each output.

Farming tips

  • Label or separate material lines so a belt carries a predictable input.
  • Keep junctions and buffers accessible for inspection as the factory grows.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the short-route test for each new source or destination. Belts carry output continuously while the source, connections, and receiving space remain available.

Common mistakes

  • Starting the belt at the wrong side of a miner means no ore arrives; verify the outlet before laying a long route.
  • Adding splitters before confirming a stable input makes failures hard to locate; test the unsplit line first.
  • A full chest or blocked destination can stop visible delivery; inspect the receiving end as well as the source.

When to stop or switch

Stop adding belt branches when every intended destination receives material and buffers remain manageable. Rework the route if a junction or full output blocks the line.
