WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Roguelike dungeons while playing Ascendant Mode, including Steps of Torment in Act II. The exact Spoils appearance is random within a run.
Ascendant Mode adds a chance for Ascendant’s Spoils to appear during any roguelike dungeon run. These extra rewards can contain rare crafting materials and have a significantly increased chance to drop set items for the character’s selected masteries. This makes a dungeon run worthwhile when you can already clear it safely, especially if you are pursuing a matching set. Spoils are chance-based, so the established dungeon route and its normal loot remain part of the value even when no extra cache appears.
A level 100 character on Ultimate for the mode toggle.
A Skeleton Key for Steps of Torment and a build suited to challenge dungeons.
Selected masteries whose set-item rewards you are willing to pursue.
Enable Ascendant Mode and choose a roguelike dungeon your character can reliably finish.
Carry a Skeleton Key if running Steps of Torment, since its sealed floors require one.
Enter the dungeon and clear enemies and traps carefully, preserving enough health for the boss and reward rooms.
Watch the run for Ascendant’s Spoils and defeat any threats guarding the extra reward.
Open the Spoils when available and inspect its materials and set items.
Collect the dungeon’s other end rewards and compare equipment with your current build.
Repeat with another key or a different safe roguelike dungeon if the target set remains incomplete.
Farming tips
The Spoils chance adds value to a dungeon you already clear; do not choose an unsafe dungeon solely for the possible cache.
Set rewards are associated with selected masteries, so confirm the character’s mastery combination before farming.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable by starting additional roguelike dungeon runs. Each run has a chance to spawn Spoils; neither the cache nor a desired set piece is guaranteed.
Common mistakes
Expecting Spoils on every run: collect the ordinary dungeon rewards and repeat only if the extra chance remains worthwhile.
Entering Steps of Torment without a key: the sealed challenge floors require a consumed Skeleton Key.
Expecting a specific set piece: the reward chance is improved for selected masteries but the exact item is not assured.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you complete the set goal or when the dungeon becomes too costly in keys and survival; switch to another repeatable endgame activity if needed.
