Vegetable sales turn surplus harvests into currency for farm inputs, while a distinct seed reserve supports continued planting.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Your crop beds and the grocer in town; use the cooking station only when checking whether an active soup order needs a crop.
Use the grocer as the destination for produce you do not need to keep for your next planting. This guide covers the crop-to-currency route: collect mature vegetables, retain any seeds or planting stock you intend to use, and sell the remaining produce. Soup orders are a separate use for crops, so check task requests before deciding what counts as surplus. A sale is optional income rather than a required step in crop production.
Seed or planting stock reserved for the next crop cycle.
Cooking equipment only if you are also handling an active soup task.
Harvest the vegetables that are ready from your crop beds.
Collect them into a batch that is easy to carry to town.
Before selling, check any active soup task for vegetables it requests.
Set aside requested vegetables if you plan to complete that task.
Keep the seeds or planting stock you need for your next planting cycle.
Take the remaining vegetables to the grocer and sell them for currency.
Use the proceeds toward farm inputs or other purchases that address your current need.
Farming tips
Separate planting stock from sale produce before the town trip so the next cycle remains possible.
When a soup task is active, reserve its requested crops first; sell only what remains available.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat after harvests: gather mature vegetables, check task needs, retain planting stock, then sell the remaining produce. Crop sales are repeatable; soup-order rewards apply only when an eligible task is completed.
Common mistakes
Selling seeds or all planting stock: reserve what you need to restart the crop cycle before taking produce to town.
Treating every harvest as sale surplus: check active soup requests and keep any ingredients you intend to deliver.
Expecting currency from the order route: vegetable sales pay through the grocer; task rewards depend on completing the displayed request.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the planned surplus has been sold and enough planting stock is retained; sell again after a later harvest creates more surplus.
