Data Discs and Relics

Data Discs unlock Research Center blueprints, while recovered relic pieces can be restored for museum use.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins and large salvage piles in the scrapyard.

Gather these two ruin-related outputs deliberately, then send each to its proper destination. Data Discs fund machine research; relic materials are components for restoration. The methods overlap in the ruins, but their uses do not.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A Pickhammer and access to Eufaula Salvage.
  • Inventory space for discs and relic pieces.
  • A blueprint or restoration goal to guide what you keep.
  1. Enter the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins and quarry floors with the Pickhammer.
  2. Collect Data Discs when they appear among mining finds; do not mix them into sale or scrap storage.
  3. Pick up relic materials encountered while clearing the floor and keep them in a separate chest section.
  4. If you need another source, break large salvage piles in the scrapyard and collect any Data Discs or relic materials they provide.
  5. Take the discs to the Research Center and choose the machine blueprint you want to fund.
  6. Bring relic pieces to the Museum restoration machine and use the available restoration process.
  7. Check your remaining blueprint and restoration needs before selling or discarding extra materials.

Farming tips

  • Spend discs on the blueprint that unblocks your current production chain, such as a needed Recycler tier.
  • Label storage for discs and relic pieces separately so neither is accidentally sold with common salvage.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat ruin quarrying and scrapyard salvage when more research currency or restoration materials are needed. The particular finds are not guaranteed in a fixed quantity.

Common mistakes

  • Using Data Discs as ordinary salvage can delay research; retain them until needed for a blueprint.
  • Taking relic pieces to research does not restore them; use the Museum restoration machine for relics.
  • Filling inventory with ore alone can crowd out discs and relic materials; leave capacity for secondary finds.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have enough discs for the next chosen research and enough relic materials for the restoration you intend to complete.
