Where to farm
Magwytch Marshes, the named Swamp story realm; search caves and rocky deposits.
Make a focused ore run through Magwytch Marshes, mine only nodes your Pick can handle, and bring the raw ore home for smelting. The realm’s caves and rocky deposits are the targets; the exact amount collected depends on the nodes you find and can reach.
Access to Magwytch Marshes through story progression.
A Pick that meets the gear-score requirement shown for Iron ore.
Combat equipment suitable for the caves you plan to enter.
Travel to Magwytch Marshes and open the realm map to orient yourself around known paths and points of interest.
Scan the surface for rocky outcrops and cave entrances; mark or remember the entrances you want to check.
Enter a cave only if your combat gear is adequate, then look over exposed rock for Iron ore nodes.
Equip the Pick and mine a node only when the tool meets its displayed requirement.
Continue through nearby accessible deposits, leaving dangerous or unsuitable areas for later progression.
Return to your portal with the raw ore and take it to an estate Smelter.
Smelt the ore into ingots, then spend them on recipes that specifically call for iron.
Farming tips
Use the stable story realm as a repeatable reference route; a procedural realm may place resources differently.
Keep ore separate from finished ingots so you can decide how much to refine after checking recipe needs.
Repeat, collect and use
Make another trip when you need more ore. Resource nodes generally do not respawn in place; check whether your story realm has reset or choose another supported Iron-bearing realm before expecting fresh deposits.
Common mistakes
Trying to mine with an under-tier Pick: check the node’s requirement and upgrade the tool first.
Treating every cave as safe: clear threats or skip the cave until your combat gear is ready.
Using all raw ore immediately: keep enough stock for the recipes you intend to craft before refining the remainder.
When to stop or switch
Stop once you have enough ore for the ingots and iron recipes currently on your crafting plan; switch to another resource route if the remaining deposits are unsafe or depleted.
