Torii Gate Random Encounters let a visitor join another player’s mission. Successful assistance can award Umbracite, according to the community guide, but it is not a guaranteed drop for every session. The route is straightforward: open Torii Gate at the Starting Point, join a suitable encounter, help the host reach the mission clear, and inspect the result. Use multiplayer assistance when you are comfortable with the mission and connection, then temper a lasting item with any material awarded.
Before you go Unlock online play and the Torii Gate through progression. Have a working network connection and access to Random Encounters. Bring a reliable build for the mission types you may join. Return to the Starting Point and interact with the Torii Gate. Choose the Random Encounter option for mission assistance. Join an available host and follow the mission’s actual route and objectives. Help defeat enemies and bosses while staying close enough to support the host. Complete the mission with the host and check the reward results for Umbracite. Repeat matchmaking if you still want to help and accept that rewards can vary. Return to the Blacksmith and temper a useful kept item with material earned. Farming tips A successful clear is the goal; play the host’s mission rather than rushing away from the group. Use solo Twilight rewards when you need a more direct, previewable Umbracite opportunity. Repeat, collect and use Random Encounters can be joined repeatedly, but Umbracite is not guaranteed on every co-op completion.
Common mistakes Expecting a guaranteed material each session; inspect actual results and treat it as a chance. Entering without suitable equipment; a visitor still needs to survive and help finish the mission. Leaving the host behind to rush; cooperate through the objective so the mission can be completed. When to stop or switch Stop matchmaking when you have enough material for the planned temper or when the available encounters are not a comfortable fit.
