A verified livestock pen can provide animal products while reducing the need to haul animals through town.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A rural Muldraugh farmstead with existing livestock and fenced pens; confirm animals in your save before committing supplies.
Rural farmsteads may have livestock in Build 42, but animal presence depends on the save and settings. Scout before investing in a feed run. If animals are present, use their interaction and needs information to manage the enclosure, collect the product they actually provide, and keep food and care supplies close to the pen. This route uses an existing farmstead rather than assuming a new herd is available.
Muldraugh’s roads, green strips, outlying fields and nearby lakes in Build 42. Use these landmarks to plan a supply approach; Search Mode’s zone panel identifies the forage pool at your position.

How to farm
Before you go
Build 42 animal systems enabled in the current scenario.
A verified animal and usable enclosure.
The feed and water indicated for that species.
A protected route to the pen and local storage.
Locate a rural farmstead on the current Muldraugh map and plan an approach that avoids unnecessary town travel.
Scout the enclosure and confirm which animals, if any, are actually present.
Inspect an animal in-game to learn its current care needs and the product it can provide.
Bring only appropriate feed and water, then supply what the animal interaction indicates.
Keep the enclosure accessible and check animals as part of a regular farm visit.
Collect the available product, such as eggs or milk only when the inspected animal provides it.
Store the product on site or process it promptly before carrying supplies back.
Farming tips
A map identifies a location, not guaranteed livestock; verify the farm in your own world first.
Start with animals and products already present instead of expanding care beyond your feed and storage capacity.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat product collection while animals remain present and cared for. New animals and specific outputs are not guaranteed by the location.
Common mistakes
Assuming every farmstead contains the same species; scout and inspect before hauling feed.
Giving an animal unsuitable supplies; follow the species-specific needs shown in-game.
Transporting livestock through town unnecessarily; manage the existing pen and store collected products locally.
When to stop or switch
Stop investing in a farmstead if no livestock is present or you cannot meet its care needs; switch to crops, foraging, trapping, or fishing.
