WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Underwater reef walls around islands, beside the island foundation and near other reef deposits.
Copper is gathered from distinct deposits on island reefs. Harvest it with a Hook, then smelt it on the raft. A careful reef circuit can also collect other materials encountered on the same dive.
Before you go Plastic Hook. An island reef that can be reached from an anchored raft. Smelter for turning ore into Copper Ingots. Anchor beside the island and choose a clear starting point on the reef. Dive with your Hook and follow the wall in one direction, keeping the island foundation in sight. Identify the Copper Ore deposits by their distinct appearance rather than treating every node as copper. Harvest each copper deposit with the Hook and collect the dropped ore. Pick up nearby Sand, Clay, Scrap or Metal Ore when it is on the same route and your air permits. Surface before oxygen is low, recover, and continue the circuit only if you missed a section. Load Copper Ore into the Smelter and collect the Copper Ingots for electronics or other recipes. Farming tips A planned loop helps you avoid repeatedly checking the same reef section. Carry enough food and water for the island stop, especially if you intend to make more than one dive. Repeat, collect and use Copper Ore can be gathered again during later island reef trips; smelt each collected batch at the raft.
Common mistakes Confusing copper nodes with other reef deposits: check the node before spending Hook durability and dive time. Staying underwater too long: surface or return to the raft before oxygen becomes critical. Using raw ore in an ingot recipe: process Copper Ore in a Smelter first. When to stop or switch End the copper trip when you have the ingots needed for your current electronics or crafting plan, or when a safe dive is no longer practical.
